the government has established new laws for online gambling. Online games that
incorporate betting and betting are prohibited under these guidelines. In

are their advantages?
SRO will keep an eye
According to a new Ministry of Electronics and Information
Technology (MeitY) law, creators must obtain authorization from the SRO before
launching or publishing any game. SRO is an acronym that stands for
Self-Regulatory Organization. Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for
Information Technology, stated,
Online gaming innovation and startups will get a huge boost while #DigitalNagriks will be protected from online betting. #OnlineGaming rules will act as a key catalyst for the online gaming startup ecosystem while ensuring safety of gamers including children, and unambiguously… pic.twitter.com/ykyGyLo5mH

The government will begin with three SROs and will add more
if necessary. In addition, developers that accept payment for any of their
game's products will be required to complete KYC. The permissibility of games
shall be established by the basic concept of whether the game involves
the placing of specific bets. If betting is involved, the SRO will be able to
state that such online games are prohibited.
What does it mean to bet in online gaming?
Means online games in which participants deposit money or
other items with the expectation of winning money back. Such games will not be
regarded in accordance with the regulations of online gaming. The government
has requested that Google Play and the App Store delete any games that have not
gotten authorization from the Central Government's SRO.
After comprehensive consultations, rules on online gaming notified.
